"Minnie" get away
We had a small get away last week to Disney! :) We've been a few times and big sis loves it. We went with baby sister before, but she was about 3 months old and I wore her the whole time and she slept the whole time. Easy! This time, at almost 9 months, she was a little bit harder. She was still easy, but for some reason it was more of a hassle going w/ 2 kids and baby sis is still recovering from it all. She was a trooper though. Along w/ the 4 of us, my hubby's sister came w/ her little girl (she's 2) and my mil came. So we had 3 girls and 4 adults. It was nice to share the load. lol

Favorite
My favorite breakfast food is French Toast. I can't get enough! I love putting bananas on top with syrup. YUMMY!
Last week I didn't feel like cooking dinner one night, so we have Brinner :) Or breakfast for dinner. I made French Toast. It's so good. I'm getting hungry right now... lol

looking back
sigh... These 8 1/2 months have FLOWN by. I used to be so anxious about having 2 kids, and all that went away when big sister walked into the hospital room and immediately asked to hold her baby sister. One of the best moments was right in that picture, with both my sweet babies in my arms. These 8 months have been exhausting, but so wonderful! I'm so overwhelmingly in love with my girls, so thankful I get to be their mama! They LOVE each other, and it's so sweet!
Not only has baby sister grown so fast, but so has big sis. She is so big and quickly becoming mommy's little BFF. I love it!! :)

PINK
Being that the girls got a new swing set, we needed an infant swing. I ordered it from amazon and w/in 3 days I had it in my hands. LOVE amazon :) Today was the first day baby sister got to use it, and she loved it! I love getting to take my girls outside now that we have something for them to do out there. And they LOVE being outside. Our days are much more fun, my toddler burns off some energy and sleeps so much better!

black and white fun
Last week we were able to get the girls a swing set. I was SO excited, I had been wanting one for years and someone we know was selling theirs and we got it. Our toddler LOVES it and we've been outside everyday! It's been so great to have her burn off all her excess energy. :)
SO while my girl plays in her swing set, mommy gets to play with the camera. I've been trying to learn some new settings and whatnot.
Here's some of my favorite ones from the other day...

Here we are in our Easter attires! :) I did color coordinate us, though I found my dress and hubby's tie by chance. lol I thought it was all pretty cute though.
I always said that I wasn't a fan of matching sibling outfits.. But I've recently been matching them a lot. It's just too cute! :)
So thankful for my sweet girls

Good Friday
This weekend is always a reminder of what Christ has done for us. He gave up his life so that we could one day live with Him. Christ was crucified on Friday and 3 days later He rose again! Praise God for loving us enough to give up His only son!!!
One of my favorite parts about the crucifixion is reading about the veil being torn once he had died. It's such a beautiful image.
The veil separated the Holy of Holies—the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence, from the rest of the temple where men dwelt. This signified that man was separated from God by sin. Only the High Priest was allowed in the Holy of Holies once a year, to offer up sacrifices, so that men could atone for their sins.
At the moment that Jesus died, the veil was torn in 2. Keep in mind, the veil was 4 inches thick and around 60 feet high. Once the veil was torn, it meant that Jesus' was the ultimate sacrifice. The shedding of His blood was all we needed to atone for our sins. Men no longer needed to sacrifice animals, It signified that now the way into the Holy of Holies was open for all people, for all time, both Jew and Gentile.
And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.
Matthew 27:50-53

8 months!
Oh my word, it's so hard to believe that today my sweet baby is 8 months old! It's totally bittersweet.
She is such a sweet baby.
At 8 months:
-she wears 9-12 month clothes
-she wears size 3 diapers
-wears size 2 shoes
-Has 3 teeth w/ the 4th coming
-LOVES remote controls lol
-Her favorite spot is in mommy's arms
-Her 2nd favorite spot is her high chair
-Her face lights up when sissy is around
-She has yet to sleep through the night, but I've been encouraged by sweet friends that it's normal, most of their kids didn't sleep through the night until they turned 1.
She has been a true joy to our family. It's been amazing to watch her grow and I still have days that I can't believe I've been blessed with this sweet baby girl.
