Easter...

Easter is coming. Our daughter's first Easter, she was 6 months old. I didn't do anything for her, I never thought about it... Last year, she was about 1 1/2 years old, so I made her an Easter basket and we also had a mini Easter egg hunt at home. She loved looking for the plastic eggs. This year, I'm kinda stumped. I'm not sure what to do for her Easter basket. I was planning on getting her a pair of earrings, she can only wear gold with the safety backs, so I've had a hard time finding those. She also loves M&M's, so I'd put some in her basket as well... But I'm not sure what else to do. What do you guys put in your kids Easter baskets?

Have you guys seen this little cutie, perfect for this season :)

rough week

Did you have a cold when you were pregnant? Oh my word, I truly think that colds are magnified when one is pregnant. During my first pregnancy, I had a cold for like a month and felt awful! This time around, I had a cold right when I found out I was pregnant and couldn't take anything. Now I have a cold again, taking some sudafed, but it's only helping with the congestion. My throat is raw, I'm coughing so much I get nauseous. Cough drops make me nauseous. So anyone have any advice on how to make this pesky cold go away!? I'd love to feel normal again...
Thanks :)

Monday Etsy Finds

When baby sister is born, she'll be sharing a room with big sister. Even though we have 3 bedrooms, it's easier for us to just have them together. Right now, the room is pink/white toile. I never felt the room was fully finished, and after my daughter turned 1, I felt I should wait to finish the room b/c I "knew" we'd have another daughter in there. :) Now I will be adding a twin bed for my toddler, keeping the crib for the baby, and adding an armoire. The best part, and most fun is decorating! I LOVE pink, I LOVE etsy and I love finding fun things for the girls. I've always wanted a lot of pink signs in their room, something cute and girly.

I found this awesome shop with TONS of unique and beautiful signs. The Homespun Raven has signs for every occasion; kids, holidays, names, custom signs and more... You will fall in love with this shop!
Here are some of my favorite signs :)

Take a minute and check out The Homespun Raven! It really is an awesome shop!

I love pink!

I went shopping yesterday for my 2 year old, but couldn't help myself and browsed the infant section. :) I bought baby sister this cute onesie, I thought it was so girly.
I'm loving all the pink!!!

zoo day

Yesterday a friend and I took our kids to the zoo. It was a beautiful day and we had a blast! I always enjoy going somewhere if it means I get a ton of pretty pictures. I love taking pictures, more so now with my new canon rebel. lol I took over 160 pictures! I'm in 1 of them. hahaha
My daughter loves the zoo and constantly asks to go see the lions and elephants. :) We got to see the lioness up close and she is gorgeous! My daughter was the first to notice that the lion was off sleeping under the trees, so she said "daddy lion is sleeping". lol I thought it was cute that she knew that we were looking at the "mommy" and that the male was indeed the "daddy"...
Here are some pictures of our day:
Isn't she just gorgeous?

My little princess was climbing all over the place yesterday. Which was odd to me b/c she always just stays in her stroller.

Trying to give mommy a heart attack. lol

Rhino

The snakes were all awake yesterday...

1/2 way!

Today I am 20 weeks. Half way there! I'm so excited. Some of my friends have recently had babies, and it's making it hard not to get anxious to see my precious girl. I know it'll be here before I know it, these past 20 weeks have flown by. lol August just seems so far away... We still have a lot to do before her arrival, so I'm not in a big hurry. I just want to hold my baby, and her big sister is very excited as well. Today she asked to go see baby sister. lol Not quite sure what she meant by that.

Thinking about baby sister's birth reminds me of how much my life changed 2 1/2 years ago, when big sister was born. It was the best day ever! seeing her for the first time, holding her. It was just amazing. Watching her grow is bittersweet. I look at her and I can't believe that she's 2! It just flew by! It makes me kinda sad thinking that she won't be my "baby" anymore. She'll be my big girl. So I treasure every "baby" moment with her that I can. Like rocking her to sleep, yes she asks me to rock her every night, and every night I do so with gladness as I hold back tears. I just stare into her eyes and sing to her as I rock her. I guess she likes it too b/c she asks for it every night :) I know it'll be harder to do once baby sister is born, but I'll figure it out. I know there will come a day where she won't let me rock her anymore.. So I'll keep doing it. :)

Anyways, the other day a friend had her daughter and looking at her pictures made me sad that it feels like so long ago that I experienced that with my daughter. But excited to do it again soon!
This was taken the day my daughter was born, still feels like yesterday...
