Reflections and plans...
The year is almost over. I'm totally excited! I am so looking forward to 2010, I am beyond myself with excitement. The hubby and I have big plans for 2010... We are so close to becoming debt free. We've made a lot of sacrifices to get to this point, including selling my car, thus becoming a 1 car family. It's hard, but worth it. So within the next 2-3 months, we look forward to being done with one loan, and then moving towards a student loan, which will take a while, so we will go slow with it.. We look forward to hopefully getting his book published... It's exciting... 2010 will also bring 2 new babies to the family. Both of our sisters are pregnant and expecting summer babies! Yikes! We already know his sister is having a girl, so I gotta start making her some bows. We are still waiting to find out what my sister is having...
2010 will also bring some new additions to my shop. I have big plans in the making and lots of new ideas that I'm excited about!
The best part is watching my little girl grow up. She'll be 14 months this weekend, it's gone by so fast. She's learning so many new words lately. Over Christmas season she learned the word tree, or "tee" as she calls it. She also learned how to say "Ellie" on Christmas day. Her nana taught her. Ellie is one of nana's dogs... It's so cute when she says it.. And today, I was getting her lunch ready, and I was cutting her string cheese, she saw it and said "cheese". I never even taught her that word. lol
Anyways, I gotta think of some new years resolutions... I know 2 of them will be to lose weight (that's a tough one) and to spend more time crafting... What are your resolutions?

Christmas was here!
I can't believe Christmas is already over... It feels so fast! This year was the first year in a while that my hubby and I really enjoyed the holidays. I told him last night that the reason it was so good, was because our daughter is at such a fun age. She's almost 14 months old and walking around, "talking" and playing with everything! We had such a great time buying her presents, planning for it and watching her open them, we didn't need anything else. In fact, we didn't even exchange gifts. We just spoiled our daughter. On Christmas eve we set up her toys under the tree, it was just so much fun! We bought her a play kitchen, she's been playing in it all morning today. :) And she got a Corolle Calin baby doll. She loves feeding the baby. So sweet! I love girl toys. I've been playing w/ them too... We went and visited both sets of grandparents and aunts and uncles yesterday and they gave her so many toys. Play purse, table and chair set, pack and play for her doll, another doll, play food, play pots and pans, books and so much more... Our car was PACKED with toys.. She was so overwhelmed by it all she didn't even know what to play with first. lol So far today, she's been mesmerized by her kitchen and everything that comes with it. :)

Moms
Ok, so I think little girls look adorable in their hairbows. Lately I've felt that whenever I go out, my 13 month old daughter looks MUCH better than me. She has all these cute outfits, cute shoes, earrings, matching bracelet, ring and of course, a hairbow! Me, jeans, tshirt, flip flops (I live in Florida). My closet is empty, as my body shape has dramatically changed due to the wide birthing hips and the big booty that will no longer fit in a size 4 :(... It's been hard to care what I look like. BUT when my baby girl is better dressed and accessorized than me, I realize it's time for a change. SO I've started making some cute hair accessories for the moms! Which also works for young girls who are not moms and who just want to look cute. After all, why do babies get to be the only one's that wear bows!? :)
What do you think? I have lots more ideas, it's just finding the time to make it happen...

Christmas Tree bow!
I came up with an idea for a Christmas tree clip to match my daughter's Christmas dress. What do you think?! Want to know what's so great about this bow?
You get 2 bows in 1. How?! The bottom bow is very versatile, you can put other clips through the center, either vertical or horizontal. So you get the simple red look, or add another clip to the top for a more fun look!
This bow comes with the red bow and the Christmas tree! So you get 3 different looks!

New Traditions...
This year, my daughter is 13 months at Christmas time. Last year she was just a newborn, so we didn't change much about our traditions. But starting this year, I'm doing a lot of different things and starting brand new family traditions w/ her. I was so excited to buy her a little Christmas tree for her room. It's white w/ hot pink ornaments. I didn't put many ornaments on the tree b/c I know she'll be getting new ones every year. But her tree is so cute, I've been wanting a pink tree! And she even helped me decorate it! :) Another tradition we'll start this year is baking a birthday cake for Jesus. I'm very excited! And she and I have baked before, she LOVES the kitchen! Mommy has fun baking w/ her girl, but the mess she makes (all over) not so much fun. BUT it's all about the fun of it! What are your traditions with your family? I'm so looking forward to creating my own tradition for my daughter and future children!
I looked everywhere and spent a lot of time looking for the perfect dress for my daughter. I couldn't find anything I liked. Mainly because I had a specific type of dress in mind and I could not afford it (it's over $60 and that's just too much for a toddler dress). So I went to JcPenney and found this cute dress. It's not my first choice, but I liked it. I have an idea for a very unique and cute bow, I'm hoping to make it tonight. I'll post pictures as soon as it's made! :)

For the moms!
Ok, so my daughter is always wearing pretty bows. I get jealous b/c I want pretty bows too.. Mom's should look just as pretty and fully accessorized when they go out. :)
So, I've started making bows that moms and teens can wear. What do you think?!
There is more to come!! Keep an eye on BOWquet for frequent additions...
